I should warn that it's not for the faint of heart.

Lots of plot twists, you won't ever guess the ending. Oldboy - the most violent movie ever made, of course it's from Korea about a guy who's kidnapped and locked in a hotel room for over 10 years then is released and given clues by his captor as to why and who did this to him. If you liked any of the Ocean's Eleven movies you'll love this Nine Queens - An Argentinan movie about a con man who happens to run into an amateur thief trying to pull a bad scam at a gas station takes him under his wing and gets him involved in a plot to sell counterfeit stamps (the nine queens) to a Spanish businessman. The Chaser - violent Korean revenge movie about an ex-cop turned pimp whose women are being abucted and as he soon finds out, much worse.Įvil - Swedish movie about a tough kid who's kicked out of public school and sent to an elite school where the rich kids abuse their status and bully him if he fights back he's out of chances and seemingly his future is over. Obscure foreign movies (not necessarily old but you probably haven't seen them):

Seven - detective movie with Brad Pitt, following the trail of a serial killer who bases his killings on the seven deadly sins Monster's Ball - Racist prison warden Billy Bob Thorton executes Halle Barry's husband (P Diddy) and they end up in a relationship. Magnolia - the weirdest movie of all time, with Tom Cruise, Julianne Moore and a bunch of other famous people The Boondock Saints - before there was Dexter there were these guysĮnemy of the State - conspiracy movie with Will Smithįight Club - maybe the best movie of the 1990's The Shawshank Redemption - arguably the best movie of all timeĪmerican Beauty - dark comedy about family problems and life in America iconic and still an important place in pop culture Léon: The Professional - Jean Reno movie with a younger Natalie Portman - at one point was top 5 on imdb not sure if it still is but it deserves it - maybe the most complete action movie ever if not the best I listed a lot of movies but if you don't have time to watch them all I marked the best of the best in bold for you.Ĭommando - Schwarzenegger the greatest action movie of all time with some of the best one-liners, look on youtube if you don't trust meĭead Poets Society - Robin Williams in a serious role I've been a movie nerd for the last year or 2, so of course I have some suggestions.
